RelayHealth Financial and Ovation Revenue Cycle Services Form Strategic Alliance
ALPHARETTA, Ga., June 8, 2015 — RelayHealth® Financial today announced a new strategic alliance with Ovation Revenue Cycle Services that will give hospitals that use RelayAssurance Plus access to enhanced claim status information from more than 300 health insurers nationwide through a payer portal. Being able to see this claim information as soon as one day post-billing can help hospitals decrease administrative costs, reduce denials, and speed claims processing by providing actionable insight into claims issues.

The richer claims information accessed via payer portals complements EDI responses received by providers, helping to reduce the need for staff to manually and repeatedly track down additional information to clarify an EDI Health Care Claim Status Response (a “277,” i.e., a response to a claim status inquiry). Through RelayAssurance Plus, hospitals can use Ovation’s claim status functionality to retrieve payers’ detailed information on pending claims, remittance reconciliation, denials, and appeals.
RelayHealth Financial will integrate an opt-in payer portal claim status into the workflow of RelayAssurance Plus, its industry leading claim management system. RelayAssurance Plus provides actionable visibility into claims that require attention at precisely the right time. Time frames for payer responses and claim follow up are intelligently calculated and pushed to the user, helping staff focus on claims that need attention.
